Katrina

This is very fitting for marking my 100th post to this blog...by marking another anniversary.

Today, we remember the Gulf Coast on the one year anniversary of Katrina. I know that you have been bombarded by images and news reports of what has been going on in the region. However, I hope you will be able to observe a moment of silence for the victims and to pray for a continued outpouring of love in the form of resources and helping hands.

There has been a man, Mike Schleifstein, who has been keeping a blogathon (24 posts in 24 hours) on the status of the city, inspirational survivor stories, and things that he is happy to see return to the city.

Read the blogathon at www.bloggingneworleans.com

"There is hope for the helpless, rest for the weary, and love for the broken hearts. There is Grace and forgiveness, mercy and healing. He'll meet you wherever you are. Cry out to Jesus." --Third Day
