Your Report Card

During the school year, there are parent-teacher conference days that are scheduled.

Usually your kids are out of school, so that you can go and find out everything to help your kids get along better and better.

I tell you what -- lawmakers really want you there, because they are looking at legislation that could cost you $500 if you miss one of those meetings.

What will happen if this passes is that schools would send you a notice for a meeting with three proposed dates by certified mail. And the fine could apply if you didn't have a "reasonable excuse" for not being there (you know, just didn't show up ) or at least give notice that you would have to reschedule.

Again, if it passes, fines collected would go to for buying supplies for the schools.

Interesting,
CH
