When I was a little kid, my mom said that I instantly recognized a McDonald's when I saw one...and all of a sudden I was clamoring for a Happy Meal. Now, research shows that not much has changed...I would have probably been of the same mind as these kids:
McDonald's Corp.'s packaging makes preschoolers think its Chicken McNuggets, hamburgers and french fries taste better, according to a Stanford University study aimed at reducing childhood obesity.
Sixty-three children who took part in the research tasted foods and beverages from McDonald's, some of them served in regular McDonald's packaging and some in plain paper. The kids, who ranged in age from 3 to 5 years old, preferred the taste of the items in the McDonald's wrappers.
So, maybe the next time your kids won't eat their brussel sprouts, you can just put it in a Quarter Pounder with Cheese box, and they'll instantly taste better! LOL!!!

I am so glad that you have mentioned this topic. So many of the parents I come in contact with are all about saving time and will just stop where ever ans eat on the go. I have noticed, even with my own children that they love to eat Fast Food, it is for the most part so simple to grab a bite to eat and forget it, but I have personally seen the damage this can cause. So as a suggestion, as we do, I always keep sandwich meat on hand and if we are late or in a hurry, it is alot less expensive and has less fat and other junk that you can't even pronounce. We have made this a habit to keep on hand due to the increase in my child's weight. She is perfect to me, but she is on the border line and we want to keep her healthy. Thank you for all you do and God Bless you and you new family member! CB
Wow! Great idea. Thanks for compliments, and from a kid who has struggled with weight his whole life-You are doing the right thing!
Blessings,
CH
