That's Just Super

On Super Bowl Sunday, as soon as the game was over, you saw the Indianapolis Colts putting on their Championship caps and T-Shirts...Congrats to them!

Actaully, at that moment, I was near the TV, so I meant to hit the volume button, but pressed the channel button. The next channel up was QVC, and they even had the shirts immediately on sale! Crazy!

We switched it back, and Meredith, my wife asked the exact question that was on my mind. "What do they do with the Chicago ones?" Cause we were both sure they have them both printed, because they can't just print off a ton of shirts and caps right before the end of the game. The answer to this question has eluded me up until today as I read that the NFL produces 288 Super Bowl Champion T-shirts and caps for each team.

But Rather than discarding the ones for the losing team, the league now donates them to World Vision, for distribution in places like Niger, Uganda and Sierra Leone. Other professional sports do the same...like the NBA.

Elementary, my dear, Watson...

I saw on Yahoo what they do with the BAD clothes. I think that is neat. I would like a "Chicago Wins Super Bowl" Tee shirt!!

yah - you could visit Uganda - I would NOT like that - or, you could see if some hip Ugandan has his or hers for sale on e-bay!!!

However (and I am saying this with a smile), I think the bears tees are right where they belong!!!

PS - I will be checking to see if we can find you one!!!
