Che' Chalme'

This morning on the family friendly morning show, Mike Riddles and Mike Perry welcomed the folks from Johnsonville...the bratwurst people. They are in town with their Big Taste Grill...the world's largest touring grill--at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Your husband would love this thing!! It cooks about 750 brats at a time, and all the proceeds from donations and sales of the brats will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank.

With their visit, they were so kind as to bring some brats for us to cook and sample as well as a really nice apron to throw on while we cooked these things up. So far so good, right? Well, we thought we might have some brats as soon as we could (maybe for lunch,) but that didn't work so well...you see, the Big Taste Grill had to be on tour and so, Mike Perry was supposed to bring his grill so that we could serve 'em up right. That didn't exactly happen either...the grill is still at Mike Perry's house. What's funny about that is simply that Mike Riddles had called to remind him to bring the grill last night, and even thought about reminding him at four in the morning before he left from home. When Mike perry arrived at the station, Mike R. says, "Did you bring your grill?" "OH NO!!!" was the reply. ;)

There's always such drama when food is involved at the station. But there is happy ending to this story...at least for those of us who wanted brats for lunch.

Enter Mike Perry, Me, and George Foreman!!! Mike has been keeping a Foreman grill at the station to cook at bit of shrimp or other things he likes to grab for a healthy lunch. Mike Riddles just looked at me, and with one fell swoop, I was in my brand new handy-dandy Johnsonville apron and finding myself as Chef Chalmer! Off I went...it took FOREVER...but we wanted to make sure they were cooked all the way through. About 35 minutes later, we had 5 good looking brats ready to go. A few more minutes later, those were gone and four more were on the grill soon to be devoured. MMM...Thanks Johnsonville! Not only did we have a great lunch, but also...I'm looking at starting my own cooking show, and maybe making my own cologne with the fragrance that I have wofting off of me from the kitchen. Mike Perry even told me that my dogs will love me when I come home. :)
